Zoom 2020: A very Special year

Pascale Bilgis

Ceramic, Wood, Acrylic

The piece is part of the "Flat Little People" serie. It depicts what we the world has been living this past during this pandemic year of 2020.

In the center is the zoom call, from left to right, the sickness, social distancing, the beach, the lonely confinement, the hospital, the mother at home with her children, the lovers who have only each others, the protest, the window distancing, and the going back to nature and substantial way of living.

The " Flat Little People" are a civilization of small ceramic figures with no facial expressions. They are physically flat but from from being emotionally flat. We can read their feelings through their body language.

This piece has been accepted into the Hilton Head Fine Craft juried show 2020 last october.
